How we work

We use primary park, heritage, cultural and visitor sources for factual context. We distinguish those sources from our own planning suggestions. Current access, prices and availability belong to the relevant organization or provider.

We do not invent contributors, interviews, local residence or personal visits. The people and institutions named in sources speak for their own work. A credited photograph does not imply that its creator endorses this guide.

Photographs are dated records

The images show actual Old San Juan places, with source, creator, date and license recorded. The two opening street views are from 2017 and 2015. Plaza de Armas is shown in 2022, while the El Morro and Calle Tetuán photographs are from 2018. These images supply context rather than current access or business information.
